Environmental protection: Some types can be hydrolyzed and degraded, but traditional acetate fibers degrade slowly in the natural environment
Production process
Raw material preparation
Wood pulp or cotton linters: high-purity α-cellulose (≥95%)
Acetic anhydride: main reagent for acetylation reaction
Solvent: acetone or dichloromethane (for dissolving cellulose acetate)

Acetylation reaction: Cellulose reacts with acetic anhydride in the presence of a catalyst (such as sulfuric acid) to produce cellulose acetate.

Spinning molding
Dry spinning: Cellulose acetate solution is extruded through a spinneret, and the solvent is evaporated by hot air to form continuous fibers.
Tow molding: Multiple single fibers are assembled into bundles, and a three-dimensional curling structure is given by a crimping machine to enhance filtration efficiency.

Post-processing
Plasticizer addition: such as triacetin, to improve the flexibility and adhesion of the yarn bundle.
Forming and cutting: adjust the yarn bundle denier (such as 3,000 denier/bundle) according to customer needs and package.
