The production of acetate fibers is based on high-purity wood pulp or cotton pulp and other natural cellulose as raw materials. Acetone is used as the acetylation agent, acetic acid as the solvent, and sulfuric acid as the catalyst. Under the action of sulfuric acid, the natural cellulose undergoes acetylation. Through pre-treatment, acetylation, hydrolysis, precipitation, washing, dehydration, drying and other processes, the natural cellulose is modified and becomes cellulose acetate butyrate which can be dissolved in organic solvents such as acetone and has the property of being fusible.
The cellulose acetate filament (referred to as filament) is made from natural cellulose such as wood pulp or cotton pulp through acetylation treatment to form cellulose acetate sheets. It is processed through dissolution, filtration, spinning, curling, and drying to produce a food-grade precision filtration material, which is mainly used for making cigarette filters.
Silk filaments are a type of regenerated cellulose fiber, featuring good moisture absorption and adsorption properties. The cross-sectional shape of single filament fibers is Y-shaped, and the specific surface area of the fibers is large, which enables them to have a good adsorption and retention effect on harmful components in cigarette smoke.
