Raw materials
The main raw material of acetate fiber tow is high-purity wood pulp. Common wood species include coniferous wood (such as pine and fir) and hardwood wood (such as eucalyptus). The required wood pulp needs to be specially treated to remove impurities such as lignin to increase the purity of cellulose (generally reaching more than 92%).
In addition, chemical raw materials such as acetic anhydride, acetic acid, sulfuric acid (catalyst), dichloromethane, acetone, etc. are also required in the production process for reaction, dissolution, washing and regeneration.
Process
Esterification reaction: Mix high-purity wood pulp with acetic anhydride, acetic acid and a catalyst, and carry out esterification reaction under strictly controlled temperature and time conditions to produce primary cellulose acetate (usually diacetic acid or triacetic acid).

Ripening and hydrolysis
Ripe the reaction mixture for a certain period of time to promote the uniformity of the molecular structure, and then hydrolyze to control the degree of esterification, so that the product is more suitable for subsequent dissolution and spinning processes.

Dissolving: Use acetone to dissolve cellulose acetate to form a viscous and uniform spinning solution.

Dry spinning
Dry spinning is a process where the spinning solution is sprayed into air at a suitable temperature, the acetone evaporates quickly, and the fibers form continuous filaments. The filaments are then treated with an oil and gathered into bundles.

Cut and pack
Finally form the required yarn bundle specifications (such as 2.5Y20000), compress and pack before shipment

Excellent filtering performance
Acetate fiber tow has a complex three-dimensional porous structure, which forms a large number of vortices and resistance when air passes through, and can efficiently intercept particulate matter. It is widely used in cigarette filters, air purification filter elements, etc.
Natural degradability
Its basis is natural cellulose, which has better biodegradability than synthetic polyester fibers and performs well in environmental friendliness.
High whiteness and aesthetics
After multiple stages of bleaching and purification during the production process, the fiber is bright white with a soft luster, meeting the needs of industries with high requirements for appearance quality, such as high-end cigarettes and medical materials.
Strong adaptability
Acetate fiber tow can adjust the fiber density, length, esterification degree, oil type and proportion according to customer needs to meet different filtration requirements and processing technology.
Stable thermal performance
It has good thermal stability and is not easy to melt at a certain temperature. It is suitable for use in high temperature environments such as industrial filtration, automobile exhaust filtration and other fields.
