Product structure and composition
Acetate fiber tow is a group of fibers composed of thousands or even tens of thousands of monofilaments. These monofilaments are cellulose extracted from natural cotton linters and then esterified to form cellulose acetate (Cellulose Acetate), which is then made into finished tow through spinning, drawing, oiling, drying, bundling and other processes.
Main ingredients:
Cellulose acetate (Cellulose Diacetate): main ingredient, accounting for more than 95%;
Spinning aids/plasticizers (such as triacetin): increase flexibility and reduce static electricity;
Functional additives: including antistatic agents, lubricants, antibacterial agents, etc.
Process
Raw materials: Cotton linter cellulose: obtained from cotton processing, the main source of cellulose acetate

Acetylation reaction: Controlling the reaction time and temperature can adjust the degree of substitution, thereby adjusting product performance;

Dry spinning: cellulose ester is dissolved in acetone solvent and then spun, and the solvent evaporates to form fibers;

Drafting and heat setting: ensuring the strength and uniformity of the yarn bundle

Tow treatment: oiling to enhance fiber smoothness and grouping stability

Main application areas
Cigarette filter
This is the main application area. The tow is cut into short fibers and made into acetate filter rods for cigarette filtering.
