Production Process
Raw material preparation
Based on natural wood pulp, usually high-purity coniferous wood pulp or hardwood wood pulp is selected as the cellulose source after refining.
Acetylation: In the presence of acetic acid, acetic anhydride and a catalyst, cellulose is converted into cellulose acetate through an esterification reaction to form acetate with a high degree of polymerization.
After washing, dehydration, drying and other steps, cellulose acetate is dissolved in a suitable solvent (such as acetone) to prepare a uniform spinning solution.
Dry Spinning
The cellulose acetate solution is extruded through dry spinning, and the solvent evaporates to form continuous fibers. The temperature and wind speed are controlled to ensure the uniformity and strength of the fibers.
Drafting and curling
The fibers are stretched to increase the molecular orientation, and mechanically curled to form a corrugated structure, which improves air permeability and looseness.
Bunching and shaping
Multiple fiber bundles are assembled into a tow of uniform specifications and heat-set to stabilize their physical properties.
