Sodium Carboxymethyl Cellulose Powder

Carboxy Methyl Cellulose (CMC) is an ether derivative of natural cellulose, presenting as a white or slightly yellow powder. It is a water-soluble anionic surfactant without odor, taste or toxicity. It possesses excellent water solubility, viscosity, emulsifying property, diffusion property, enzyme resistance, stability and environmental-friendly characteristics.

CMC is widely applied in fields such as papermaking, textiles, dyeing, petroleum, green agriculture and polymer. In the paper industry, CMC has been widely used as a surface sizing agent and adhesive for coatings for many years, but it has not been well developed and applied as a wet-end reinforcing agent in papermaking yet.
