Principle of diacetate tow

Diacetate cellulose tow (diacetate tow for short) is made of natural wood pulp or cotton pulp, which is acetified into diacetate cellulose sheets, and then processed through dissolution, filtration, spinning, curling, drying and other production processes. Its chemical formula is C6H7O2(COOCH3)x(OH)3-xn, where x is the degree of substitution and n is the degree of polymerization. x is usually between 2.28 and 2.49.
