Raw materials and production process
Raw materials
The main raw material of acetate fiber tow is high-purity cotton linters, which are processed to obtain refined cotton, and then esterified and spun to produce tow products.
Esterification: Cotton linters are reacted with acetic anhydride and a catalyst (such as sulfuric acid) at appropriate temperature and pressure to produce cellulose triacetate (CTA).
Partial hydrolysis
Cellulose triacetate is subjected to a controlled hydrolysis reaction to generate cellulose diacetate (DAC) with a certain degree of hydrophilicity to improve its solubility and processing performance.
Dissolution and filtration
Cellulose diacetate is dissolved in acetone to form a uniform spinning solution, and then filtered to remove impurities.
Spinning
Using dry spinning or wet spinning technology, the spinning liquid is sprayed into a high-temperature air flow or coagulation bath to form silk.
Stretching and bundling
The fiber strength is improved by mechanical stretching, and multiple filaments are gathered into a bundle structure to form a tow.
Performance characteristics
Uniform structure and good filament forming properties. Uniform fiber diameter, moderate strength, stable filament shape, easy for subsequent mechanical processing.
Excellent adsorption performance
It has a certain adsorption capacity for particulate matter, tar and harmful gases in smoke, and is an ideal material for cigarette filters.

Widely used in high-end clothing and medical dressings, showing good skin contact friendliness.
Biodegradable, environmentally friendly and safe
Acetate fiber is derived from natural cellulose, has excellent biodegradability, and does not produce harmful gases after burning.
Good chemical stability: It has good resistance to acids, alkalis and solvents under normal temperature and humidity conditions and has a long service life.
