Carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) is a non-toxic and odorless white flocculent powder with stable performance and easy to dissolve in water. Its aqueous solution is a neutral or alkaline transparent viscous liquid. It is soluble in other water-soluble glues and resins, but insoluble in organic solvents such as ethanol. CMC can be used as an adhesive, thickener, suspending agent, emulsifier, dispersant, stabilizer, sizing agent, etc.
Carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) is the product with the largest output, the widest application, and the most convenient use among cellulose ethers, commonly known as "industrial MSG".

CMC HV is a cost-effective additive to reduce API filtration rate of many water based drilling fluids from freshwater to saturated saltwater. It increases and stabilizes viscosity to improve rheology, well hole cleaning and suspension property by coating and encapsulating cuttings and solids of drilling fluids.
Package & Storage
Handle in a well-ventilated area. The fine particles and powder should be regarded as an inert, nuisance dust with a threshold limit value of 10mg/m- for total dust and of 3mg/m- for the respirable portion. Avoid static build-up when emptying big bags. Earth all equipment and attach a grounding cable to the bag grounding connection.
Product should be stored, under cover, in a clean wet ventilated area. Maintain a clean area by removing dust. Keep away from heat, sparks and other sources of ignition. Store in a dry area.
